Course Description: 

This course is designed to prepare pharmacists to precept residents as they provide health screening and education services to the general public during community health fairs. Topics include competency demonstrations of proper techniques on testing a patient's blood glucose level, measuring blood pressure, and educating community members on proper inhaler technique. Guidance on how to properly discuss certain levels and readings with the patient and provide recommendations for their next steps will also be discussed.

By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

1. Explain proper health screening techniques

2. Describe health screening results to then further guide patients on subsequent steps to take in their medical care
