Description
The goal of this course is to provide a comprehensive introduction to evidence-based stroke patient management for those RNs who work on a stroke designated unit.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this course learners should be able to:
1. Discuss the management of the acute stroke patient, prioritizing components of thrombolytic therapy administration, mechanical thrombectomy and articulate strategies to reduce transfer times.
2. Articulate knowledge in the management of the hemorrhagic stroke patient.
3. Demonstrate knowledge essential care such as swallow screen and the NIHSS.
4. Evaluate the roles and responsibilities of all team members, including yours, in stroke core measure compliance.
