Ayaka Nakaji, LCSW

Ayaka Nakaji is a licensed clinical social worker and has served as the oncology care coordinator at Cedars-Sinai Cancer Center in Los Angeles, CA since 2019. In this role, Ayaka identifies and reviews complex patient cases and helps them connect with internal and external supportive resources with the goal of improving health outcomes. Previously, Ayaka practiced in diverse fields including domestic violence advocacy, HIV/AIDS community outreach, and intensive case management. Ayaka has presented on wide range of topics including End-of-life care and Asian American cancer disparities at state and national platforms, and was the co-chair of the API Social Work Council, NASW-CA chapter from 2020-2022. Ayaka delivered a closing keynote at the annual Association of Oncology Social Work (AOSW) conference in 2024. Ayaka received her Master’s in Social Work from University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2011, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Health at University of California, Berkeley.
