Bryanna Gallaway, MPA-HSA, CPXP
Bryanna is a designer of exceptional healthcare experiences for those receiving and delivering care. During her 20 years in healthcare leadership, she has fostered connections between people and complex sets of information that invite curiosity, enable understanding, and spark action. She approaches everything with a ‘how might we?’ mindset and an enthusiasm dial that seems endless when co-creating content and solutions that matter the most to those she is designing for and with.
Over the past decade, Bryanna has crafted strategies and led cross-functional teams in experience measurement and data literacy, improvement standards and innovations, and infusing joy, purpose, and celebration into daily work.
In Bryanna's most recent role as the Senior XM Product Scientist in Healthcare at Qualtrics, she prioritized and paced the industry vertical product roadmap for healthcare providers, payors, and life sciences companies. With a focus on user experience research and methodology, Bryanna led end-to-end product design, testing, and launch across various critical areas, including modern and regulatory site of care solutions, complaints and grievances management, patient experience and nurse satisfaction Magnet solutions, DAISY Awards, culture of safety initiatives, and provider wellbeing programs.
Previously, as System Director of Patient and Family Engagement at Sutter Health, Bryanna collaborated with executive leaders, system office teams, and stakeholders across the regional markets to drive patient experience measurement and improvement initiatives. She amplified the patient and family voice by ensuring all strategic committees, projects, and enterprise-wide initiatives included data, stories, and PFA partnership. Bryanna's impact extended to clinician engagement, where she led efforts to redesign communication and relationship-centric skills training, as well as to reengineer rounding and complaint feedback management processes into more compassionate and responsive systems.
At Stanford Health Care, Bryanna led the Service Excellence Team and patient experience programs, overseeing successful activities such as Empathy Mapping, Patient Experience Week, Team Cards, Professional Wardrobe, the Stanford Storybank, and the C-I-CARE platform focused on human-centered culture, communication, rounding, and coaching. She also held operational responsibility for the Patient Relations team, Volunteer Services team, Art for Health programs, and the recruitment and advisory of Administrative Fellows and Graduate Interns - fun fact, Bryanna was the very first Administrative Fellow at Stanford Health Care.
In addition to her “day jobs”, Bryanna serves on The Beryl Institute Advisory Board, the ACHE-CAHL Regent’s Advisory Council and Mentorship Program, Empact Global Innovation Advisory Incubator, and as a guest lecturer at the University of Minnesota MHA Program.
Aside from professional activities, she very much enjoys time with family and friends in wine country, hosting themed parties and dinner events, and volunteering for Cakes4Kids, Planned Parenthood, and the Mariemont Elementary School PTA Board. Bryanna, along with her husband, six year old son Ryder, and puppy Jenner live a full and fun life in Sacramento.
