David Kessler, MD, MSc, FSSH
David Kessler is the Vice Chair of Innovation in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Columbia University where he helps implement novel programs and guide strategy for complex problems. He graduated Princeton University and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he completed his pediatric residency on the global health track. Dr. Kessler completed Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship and Emergency Ultrasound training at Bellevue Hospital and his Master of Science in Clinical Investigation at New York University. Dr. Kessler has dedicated his career to improving patient outcomes through leveraging novel technology. Dr. Kessler has a broad background in clinical research and an extensive record of education, grant-funded research, and international leadership in the fields of Simulation and Emergency Ultrasound. As one of the co-founders for INSPIRE, (International Network for Simulation-based Pediatric Innovation, Research and Education) an international pediatric research network focused on outcome oriented simulation research, David has helped to grow a community of practice dedicated to collaboration and mentorship among investigators committed to scholarship in simulation.
