Olena Svetlov, DNP, RN, AGNP/CNS, CCRN, ATCN, PHN, NE
Olena Svetlov, originally from Ukraine, began her academic journey focusing on Liberal Arts and pursued a Ph.D. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Grand Canyon University in 2022. Olena is an awardee of a Circle of Excellence Award 2022 from AACN, was recognized as the 2022 Nurse of Year Award at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and the winner of the 2022 NICHE-ABIM Foundation Choosing Wisely®Trailblazer Award for her contribution to decreasing delirium in ICU.
With a distinguished 17-year career in Critical Care, Olena's specialized focus lies in hemodynamics and implementing prevention strategies to eliminate delirium in the ICU. Recognized for her expertise, she frequently shares her knowledge at local, regional, and national speaking engagements, aiming to empower others in the field.
Olena is deeply involved in volunteer work, currently served as the President of the San Fernando Valley AACN chapter for the 2023-2024 term. She served NACNS as a Membership Member in 2022 and serves at CA CNS as Co-Chair of the Advocacy Committee 2024.
Her dedication extends globally, contributing to Stop the Bleed training for Ukrainian civilians through YouTube and Telegram channels. Olena also supports professionals across borders by raising funds through her musical talents as a singer in the Kobzar Choir. In her leisure time, Olena finds joy in creating cherished moments with her family, which includes her husband, three children, a dog, a cat, two goldfish, and an impressive collection of five fish tanks.
