Description:
Cardiovascular disease is a complex condition which has a mortality and is associated with high hospital readmission rate. Current guidelines recommend case conferencing with the interprofessional and specialist teams to improve evidence-based care for cardiac patients. In this bimonthly patient care conference, cardiac nuclear medicine case studies, associated images, and findings are presented and collaboratively discussed. Current evidence-based guidelines for patient management are reviewed and recent research is shared and considered for implementation.

Learning objectives:
Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:
1. Adopt new techniques and methods, guidelines, scientific evidence, and best practice recommendations in nuclear cardiology.
2. Integrate knowledge of new and emerging technologies in nuclear cardiology procedures.
3. Acquire new information to identify implicit bias and better manage special patient populations, such as those with racial/ethnicity differences, gender differences, and substance abuse disorders.
