Denise Navellier, MSN, RN, CCRN, NEA-BC
Denise Navellier is the Chief Nurse Executive of Sutter Health, Alta Bates Summit Medical Center. Denise has held this role for a little over 9 years. Denise's career started at Alta Bates Hospital in 1982. She worked in med-surg and transitioned into critical care where she spent the majority of her clinical time. She served as the manager of Critical Care from 1991 to 2012. During this time she covered a variety of areas in addition to Critical Care including Burn Center, Telemetry, Respiratory Care Unit and the Emergency Department. In July 2012 Denise was promoted to a Director of Critical Care Services and Nursing Operations and assumed responsibility for the staffing office at both the Alta Bates and Summit Campuses in addition to her role with Critical Care. Denise moved into the CNE role at the Summit Campus in 2015 and assumed responsibility as CNE of the entity in 2018. Denise also has a background in legal nurse consulting. When not working Denise enjoys spending as much time at Lake Tahoe as she can as well as spending time with her family. She also enjoys gardening and taking care of her many great nephews and nieces.
