Jennifer Perry, RN, BSN, PCCN
I started my healthcare journey 17 years ago as a Certified Nursing Assistant (ACNA). Through college, in addition to working as an ACNA, I worked in the roles of Social Services Designee, Activities Assistant, Heath Information Management, and Office Manager. I became a Registered Nurse (RN) 11 years ago and started my career at Sutter Health Memorial Medical Center (SMMC) through the Clinical Nurse Residency (CNR) Program. I was hired into the Acute Multi-Care Unit (stepdown ICU) and after approximately 5 years of bedside and charge nurse experience, became the Assistant Manager of the department for approximately 2 years, then Manager. In 2022, with the closure of the stepdown, I took the opportunity to apply and transition to my current position as the Clinical Nurse Educator for Cardiac Telemetry at SMMC. I began helping take care of family members at eight years old and knew I wanted to become a nurse. I want everyone to feel loved, valued, and cared for. That no one feels alone at their most vulnerable times. I want to leave others feeling better and to make a difference. That is my "Why" and I can't imagine doing anything but nursing. I truly feel blessed to be able to be a part of this profession and to have the privilege to empower others and help them grow in their own careers.
