My name is Devon Fordyce-Wilson and I have been a nurse for over thirty years. For the past 20 years I have been Nurse Educator, a Clinical Educational Specialist, the California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) American Heart Association Training Center Coordinator and Instructor, EKG Program Director, and Mock Code Clinical Expert. I also am an active member on numerous CPMC and Sutter committees. As part of the CPMC Nursing Education Department, I have dedicated my career to supporting the academic and educational needs of not only the nurses but interdisciplinary teams as well. I additionally support Sutter initiatives that improve patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction. I am exemplary as a professional, who is responsible, accountable, and conscientious. As a nurse educator, I was recognized for my scholastic aptitude and recruited as a nursing school professor. Educating the next generation of nurses is my humble honor to repay the noble vocation of nursing. I am a lifelong learning and enthusiastic about nursing research and engaging nursing to enhance their clinical knowledge and clinical reasoning skills. My aim is to improve patient outcomes and increasing survival rates for patients experiencing a medical emergency. My aspiration is to achieve a Doctor of Nursing Practice.
