Description:
Low income and minority patients have historically lacked access to reproductive services including abortion. Medical providers in the community need to know what services are available locally in order to facilitate timely referrals. The goal of this educational activity is to discuss the changes in Reproductive Health and access to abortion that have occurred in Michigan in the past year.

At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:
1. Examine the changes in access to reproductive health care as a result of the Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health decision.
2. Discuss the resulting state legislative actions taken since the SCOTUS decision.
3. Describe the current travel times for women to receive care and the subsequent clinical, financial, and emotional impacts.
4. Discover what resources are available locally in reproductive health and abortion for low income and minority patients.
