Edward Yu, MD, FAAFP, CPE
Edward Yu, M.D., Chief Medical Officer, Population Health Clinical Integration at Sutter Health, leads programs that support clinical teams in providing patients with the highest quality, most efficient, cost-effective, and equitable care. As part of the Sutter Health Network, the functions he oversees use analytics to identify new opportunities for growth and performance improvement. They help care teams actively employ a preventive and predictive holistic view that integrates proactive chronic disease management, care navigation support, and more. Prior to this role, Dr. Yu was the Vice President for Value/Population Health and Chief Quality Officer at Sutter Health’s Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group, where the team consistently achieved recognition as a top performer in clinical quality and patient experience. Dr. Yu is a nationally recognized quality expert and presenter. In addition to his administrative role, he continues to provide clinical care as a family physician. He holds a medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and a bachelor's degree in Genetics from the University of California, Davis.
