Ed Levine is a Senior Partner in McKinsey & Company’s West Coast Office and a leader within McKinsey’s Healthcare practice.  He has spent 22+ years working with the management teams of leading public and private-sector healthcare organizations across topics such as enterprise and growth strategy, cost and operations transformations, and board governance.  Ed leads McKinsey’s regional health systems practice, which includes leading academic medical centers and children’s hospitals.

Ed graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and from the University of California, San Diego with an M.D.  He completed Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Disease fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.  He also was an HHMI research fellow at the NIH in Bethesda during his medical school training.
