Bryan Gardner
Bryan has spent more than 25 years in healthcare public relations and strategic communications. He serves as manager for clinician communications and engagement at Sutter Health, which cares for more than three million people in more than 100 California communities. Bryan especially enjoys storytelling and helping others understand how Sutter Health partners with others to transform healthcare delivery.
Bryan has represented Sutter Health on the Sacramento Asian Chamber board and served as board president for the Head Trauma Support Project, a Sacramento organization that exists to improve the quality of life of brain injury survivors and their caregivers.
Prior to coming to healthcare, Bryan spent 15 years in daily newspapers as a reporter and editor. His last position was as news editor for the Alameda Newspaper Group, which produced six daily newspapers, including the Oakland Tribune.
He’s lived in Sacramento since 1986. He and wife Lisa, married for 25 years, have three sons and a daughter. He’s a graduate from California State University, Fresno with a bachelor’s degree in news journalism.
