Lynsey Chediak, MSc
Lynsey Chediak has been a patient all of her life because she was born with a rare bone disease called arthrogryposis. Thanks to a team of surgeons who never gave up on her and a series of exploratory orthopedic surgeries, she was able to stand and walk upright for the first time in her life at the age of 15 years old. Lynsey has used her newfound freedom and the gift of walking to live in 3 different countries and visit more than 30 countries in the last 10 years. She feels incredibly lucky to have benefitted from some of the earliest precision medicine techniques Sacramento could offer, so she has dedicated her career to advancing genomic medicine and expanding access to healthcare. Professionally, she has helped to advance health policy as an Advisor in the California Governor's Office, United Kingdom Parliament, House of Commons, and, most recently, at the World Economic Forum, the international organization for public-private cooperation. She was one of 100 entrepreneurs selected from across the USA for the prestigious Venture for America fellowship. Lynsey holds a BA from Claremont McKenna College; MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
