Mathew David Pauley, JD, MA, MDR, ACC is Regional Ethicist for Kaiser Permanente Northern California and a practicing clinical ethicist for the last 16 years. His background has long focused on the crossroads of ethical decision-making, conflict resolution, and behavioral economics. Prior to his current role, Mathew was the Medical Bioethics Director for Kaiser Permanente San Bernardino County Service Area, and completed two post-doctoral fellowships in clinical and academic medical ethics at Memorial Health, Springfield Illinois and Northwestern University School of Medicine respectively. Mathew is also faculty for 1-year medical ethics certificate program at Washington State University School of Medicine and frequently adjuncts at Cal State East Bay. Mathew is a Cohort 12 fellow of the California Health Care Foundations Leadership Program.
