Mazen Odish, M.D.
Mazen Odish, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist and critical care physician. He is clinically active in the intensive care unit and pulmonary clinic, caring for general pulmonary patients and the most critically ill. His clinical and research interests are in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
Dr. Odish's other interests include medical education; and was awarded multiple teaching awards during his residency, including the internal medicine graduating resident humanism and teaching award. During his fellowship he was awarded the internal medicine top fellow of the year award twice and served as the chief fellow. As an attending he was awarded the educator of the year award and the Whitehill Award for Excellence by the Academy of Clinician Scholars.
He currently teaches medical students during their preclinical and clinical years and volunteers as a teaching faculty for the internal medicine residency.
Dr. Odish completed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care and a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix. Dr. Odish is board certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine, pulmonary disease, and general pediatrics.
In his free time, he enjoys weight lifting, running, mountain biking, and hiking.
