I am the Clinical Quality Coding Educator for Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation and Sutter West Bay Medical Foundation. I deliver clinician education for the Comprehensive Health Assessment program that includes Medicare Advantage, Medicare MSSP, and value/risk-based programs Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC), and Clinical Quality Coding Program learning opportunities and any value/risk-based programs that uses the HCC CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid) and HHS (Health and Human Services) Risk Adjustment Models. I train and educate clinicians and teams for appropriate documentation and accurate reporting of ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and documentation to support assignment and reporting of diagnosis (es) codes.

I collaborate with the other members of the ECI teams, Coding Managers and Compliance to develop and create Clinician and Coding Education Materials. Partner with other Clinical Quality Coders, and the Clinical Leadership team (CLT), Comprehensive Health Assessment team (CHA) and the Clinical Quality Coding Manager to support coding compliance and provide feedback of observations that are identified and trended by the Clinical Quality Coding (CQC) Assurance team and collaborate with Quality, Operations and Medical Group leadership on program strategies.
