Overview
Description:
Patients, family and clinical staff are affected by traumatic events in the perinatal setting. Not everyone knows what to do to decrease the risk of long-term effects of trauma using the 4 R’s and the 6 principles of trauma informed care. This educational discussion will serve as a comprehensive training to build awareness and ensure a commitment to incorporating trauma informed care (TIC) into routine care practices.
