Breast cancer disproportionately affects cisgender women, yet it is essential to recognize that transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse persons are also at risk. This one-hour educational event aims to enhance understanding of the distinctions between sex assigned at birth and gender identity. Participants will gain insights into the unique considerations for breast cancer screening in transgender and gender-diverse patients, supported by valuable resources for informed decision-making. Attendees will leave equipped with actionable strategies to foster an inclusive clinical environment that better serves the needs of all patients facing breast cancer.
