Description: 

Heart disease is the number one global cause of death in men and women; through the pandemic, it actually spiked. Metabolic syndrome is a condition that includes a cluster of risk factors specific for cardiovascular disease, including impaired fasting glucose. This presentation will target ways to manage this key heart disease risk factor including discussion of continuous glucose monitoring can be used as a behavior change tool to assist patients and the evidence base for keto or fasting diets to improve recommendations to patients.
