Understanding the limitations of the high-risk concept when determining interventions for early psychosis in imperative when evaluating the disease. Early interventions should aim to prevent transition to psychosis but also to improve the quality of life and provide early treatment for other psychiatric disorders. This presentation will also cover how early psychosis and the clinical high-risk for psychosis syndrome affects diverse populations. Facilitation staff will encourage discussion of a current study that is occurring worldwide, funded by the NIMH, involving multiple countries, languages, and cultures.
