0418_SHVGR_Antiplatelet and Anticoagulation Therapies_Live
Description:
There is distinct mismanagement of antiplatelet and anticoagulant medications to treat long-term cardiac, cerebrovascular, and peripheral conditions. Within the past 20 years, several more potent oral antiplatelet and oral anticoagulant agents have been approved for use but are not being utilized. This virtual grand rounds delivery will serve to improve the understanding of these agents and the risks and benefits of various management strategies.

1. Examine indications for using antiplatelets and anticoagulants.
2. Identify how to choose the correct antiplatelet or anticoagulant.
3. Review alternatives to therapeutic anticoagulation in atrial fibrillation.
