0413_ABSMC_Journal Club: CGRP and the New Age of Migraine Therapeutics_ Live
Description:
Staying abreast of current guidelines and evidence-based practices to improve the quality of care is an important component of optimizing patient outcomes. Journal Club is an opportunity for the primary care team to learn about the newest and most recent developments in the sub-specialty clinical space. July's journal club will focus on calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), as an option in treating chronic migraines. Chronic migraine is a disabling headache that affects 3-4 % of the general population. Until 2018 the therapeutic arsenal was mostly limited to two evidence-based treatments, this month's journal club will dive in deeper.
