0403_Sutter Health Neurosciences Grand Rounds_Neurostimulation_Live
Description:
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive treatment that involves using a magnetic coil to influence your brain’s natural electrical activity. Cultural attitudes towards mental health and the stigmas surrounding it may prevent individuals from seeking treatment. Socioeconomic factors may also impact access to TMS treatment, such as financial constraints or lack of insurance coverage. It is very important to instruct patient populations to help destigmatize mental health conditions and encourage seeking help. This presentation will engage the organization and its providers to raise awareness about TMS and mental health treatment options.
Target Audience
Physicians (MD or DO)
