Description:

How can we determine when a patient requires surgery for valvular disease? What if a patient is asymptomatic, does it then make sense to proceed with surgery and if so, what types of surgeries are available for consideration? This presentation is designed to help clinicians make informed, evidence-based decisions to these questions including identifying key indicators for performing surgery as well as considering any contraindications.
