This presentation will provide participants with an introduction to a relationship-based model to support individualized developmental differences of children with neurodevelopmental challenges and their families. This will be an opportunity to expand participants' knowledge about the impact of early experiences in human development, learning, mental health, and family dynamics through the lens of an integrated approach. Historical perspectives and evidence-based application of the model will be reviewed. Exploration of the application of the applied framework will include evaluation of:
1) Functional examples of routine daily activities
2) The role of developmental capacities
3) The impact of individual differences
4) How relationships fuel development
5) The role of affect in meaning-making and shared problem-solving.
