0225_Interventional Psychiatry and Emerging Therapies_EM_2023
Course Description
Interventional psychiatric modalities are evidence based for treating many different mental disorders and in particular those which are resistant to other types of treatment. Yet many mental health and addiction care providers report a lack of knowledge and training in interventional psychiatry. This recording will provide an overview of the various interventional approaches utilized for treating mental disorders and highlight associated treatment outcomes.

Learning Objectives
After attending this activity, learners should be able to:
1. Describe the history of interventional psychiatric modalities.
2. Summarize the potential neurobiological mechanisms of action in interventional psychiatry.
