Course Description:
Professional practice gaps in cancer screening are related to inconsistent guidelines and strategies across organizations, incomplete assessments documented in the medical record, and incorrect identification and/or navigation of appropriate patients, all of which can lead to confusion for patients and providers. Presenters will share screening guidelines for breast, colon and lunch cancer while discussing benefits of early detection, treatment, and educating patients on screening guidelines based on family medical history or other risk factors.

By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
• Review current screening guidelines and ages for breast, colon and lung cancer.
• Discuss potential benefits of regular screening, including early detection, treatment initiation and reduced mortality.
• Consider a Lung Nodule and Cancer Screening Program as a less-known screening option for at-risk people.
