Cohort 8 Communication Skills Module

0178_PAMF_Clinical Leadership Essentials - Cohort 8_Communication Skills_Live

May 1, 2024

The clinical leadership excellence program as a whole is implemented to provide new and existing physician leaders with skills and strategies needed to succeed in their roles using the 4 E’s of Exploration, Education, Exposure, and Experience. This series of 90-minute modules, occurring approximately once a month throughout the year for a total of 13 sessions, includes pre-work before each module and case-based discussions to promote active learning strategies.

The program also includes a special focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with the principles of DEI integrated into all modules where leaders can identify, describe, and demonstrate inclusive behaviors.

This module addresses that PAFMG leaders lack adequate knowledge of communication skills, therefore are inconsistent in utilizing best practices for receiving and giving feedback in order to lead successfully.

Program features:

• Incorporate adult learning styles – combination of didactic, exercises and interactive learning

• Facilitated by internal subject matter experts (both physicians and operational leaders)

• Designed to address competencies needed based on physician leader job descriptions
