Course Description
This course will educate participants on appropriate ways to incorporate thinking about high-risk structures and lethal suicide means in the performance of systematic suicide risk assessments. This includes avoiding some of the common pitfalls used in many suicide risk assessment methods. Learners will analyze the evidence supporting the effectiveness of means restriction, or limiting the access to lethal means of suicide, in reducing the number of suicide attempts.
