Course Description:
This presentation is designed to impart practical knowledge of evidence-based lifestyle choices to decrease cancer risk in simple language that can easily be shared with a wide variety of recipients. According to the World Health Organization (2023), approximately 50% of cancers can be prevented, informing the focus on preventative strategies and screening presented in this Grand Rounds session.

After completion of this activity, learners should be able to:
• Examine current research on cancer prevention, including how exercise, sunlight and electronics impact risk.
• Describe confusion about the risks of meat, dairy, soy and hormone therapies.
• Identify how to avoid hidden carcinogens in the environment.
• Review evidence-based, integrative cancer prevention, such as vitamins, fasting, and spiritual practices.
