Series Description:
Neuro-oncology tumor board conferences allow neurosurgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, and other oncology professionals to present patient cases in order to educate attendees on new surgical procedures or treatments and receive a consensus of recommendations for treatment. New procedures or journal articles are discussed as well as clinical trial patients may be eligible to enroll in.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this learning activity, participants should be able to:
1. Discuss the process for time-sensitive enrollment into open clinical trials for newly diagnosed, or recurrent, brain cancer patients.
2. Review, analyze, and discuss current peer reviewed journal articles on topics relevant to neuro-oncology with the goal of improving quality of care for patients.
3. Demonstrate cultural humility in interactions with families of diverse cultures and belief systems that influence how they perceive health and illness and respond to neuro-oncology diseases, symptoms and treatments.
4. Utilize evidence-based medicine to identify care and treatment options for optimal treatment of complex and unusual neuro-oncology disease presentations.
