Description:
Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians seek to improve their knowledge and skills to evaluate, assess, diagnose, and manage complex stroke cases. Stroke case studies and practice-based neurological patient care management will promote interactive dialogue to improve overall neurological knowledge, competency, and performance of the clinical care team. Specialist physicians, APCs, and RNs from neurology, neuroradiology, emergency medicine, neurosurgery, will have an opportunity to provide and receive feedback and or recommendations from peer physician specialists – an opportunity to learn with and from each other.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:
1. Practice interpretation of (vascular) neuroimaging
2. Correlate neuroimaging to patient presentation
3. Review common imaging nomenclature and terminology
4. Support participants with stroke patient management cases
5. Review social issues, age, gender, language and ethnicity impact on clinical presentation
