Description: 

Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians seek to improve their knowledge and skills to evaluate, assess, diagnose, and manage complex stroke cases. Stroke case studies and practice-based neurological patient care management will promote interactive dialogue to improve overall neurological knowledge, competency, and performance of the clinical care team. Specialist physicians, APCs, and RNs from neurology, neuroradiology, emergency medicine, neurosurgery, will have an opportunity to provide and receive feedback and or recommendations from peer physician specialists – an opportunity to learn with and from each other.

Learning Objectives

After completion of this activity, learners/ attendees should be able to:

  • Correlate neuroimaging to patient presentation to improve interpretation of (vascular) neuroimaging.
  • Review common imaging nomenclature and terminology.
  • Integrate current best practice recommendations for stroke patient management o Review social issues, age, gender, language and ethnicity impact on clinical presentation.
