Angela Vickers, MD is board-certified in both Child Abuse Pediatrics and General Pediatrics and is the founder of the Sutter BEAR Clinic.  For 27 years, she has evaluated thousands of cases of child abuse and neglect in the Greater Sacramento area and given hundreds of expert testimonies in family and criminal courts. Her greatest joy comes from training other clinicians and nurses to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to these most vulnerable children, while using evidence-based evaluations, interpretations, and diagnoses.  Dr. Vickers currently serves as the Medical Director of the California Clinical Forensic Medical Training Center, the state funded training center charged with maintaining the evidentiary exam protocols and curriculum used throughout the state. Dr. Vickers has also enjoyed a long career in Sutter leadership, serving most recently as Chief of Staff for Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento and Chief of Pediatrics for Sutter Medical Group.
