Born and raised in Northern California, she attended UC San Diego where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in human biology while also playing on the women's basketball team. She then attended UC Davis for medical school and completed her orthopaedic surgery residency in Washington, DC at Howard University. She then returned to San Diego for a fellowship in lower extremity joint replacement at Scripps. Upon completion of her training, she returned home to Northern California to practice with a continued focus in total joint replacement, complex joint replacements and revision of total joints.

Outside of working, she enjoys time with family and friends, hiking and wine tasting.
