President, Greater Central Valley Market, Sutter Health
Gino Patrizio serves as President of Sutter Health’s Greater Central Valley Market. In his role, he focuses on ambulatory growth and access, building programs of excellence to differentiate our Sutter brand, and connecting care across the Central Valley communities we serve and across Sutter Health.
Over an administrative career that has spanned 19 years, he has served in several leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer in facilities and organizations in Florida and California. Prior to his career in healthcare administration, Gino practiced law for 10 years, exclusively representing physicians, hospitals and healthcare systems, including Scripps Clinic, Kaiser Permanente and the University of California.
Prior to being named President of Sutter’s Central Valley Market in 2023, Gino served as CEO of Sutter Memorial Medical Center (SMMC) in Modesto for five years, and also had operational and financial accountability for Memorial Hospital Los Banos and Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. He joined Sutter Health from Fremont Rideout Health Group in Yuba City, where he served as COO, then CEO of the vertically integrated healthcare system, which included a medical center, a skilled nursing facility, a residential memory care center, an assisted living facility, and a physician foundation.
He currently serves as the Past Board Chairperson for Opportunity Stanislaus and Vice Chairperson for the Valley Consortium for Medical Education. He is also a Board Member for Community Hospice and an Advisory Board Member for the Graffiti USA Museum and the Gallo Center for the Arts. In addition, he is a member of the Northern California Regional Board for the American Heart Association and the Executive Leadership Team for the Stanislaus County “Walk to End Alzheimer’s.”
Gino holds a B.A. in psychology from Harvard University, a J.D. from the University of San Diego, and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Southern California.
