Ginger Chappell, MBA, CHC, CFE, CFF, FCPA, CPA - Vice President Ethics & Compliance Services and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer

Ginger Chappell joined Sutter Health in 2004 and serves as the Vice President of Ethics & Compliance Services and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer. Her focus for an effective compliance program is grounded in ethical decision making and partnership with business owners and executive leadership. She believes making it easy for individuals to do the right thing in the right way, fosters a healthy culture and minimizes non-compliance and overall risk reduction.

Throughout her 26 years in the audit and compliance professions, she has partnered to improve risk identification and mitigation, process effectiveness and efficiency, and fraud deterrence. She is a member of the American Hospital Association’s Chief Compliance Officer Roundtable and maintains a variety of certifications and licensure in the fields of compliance, fraud and forensics and accountancy.

Ginger previously served as Sutter Health’s Vice President of Internal Audit & Process Improvement. Before joining Sutter Health, she held various audit roles at E. & J. Gallo Winery. She holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree in Economic Crime and Fraud Management from Utica College and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Fresno.
