Nicholas “Nick” Caster is the Vice President, Ethics and Compliance Services, for Sutter Health’s Bay Divisions, Surgery Center Division, Graduate Medical Education Programs and Research Programs.  With over 22 years of Healthcare experience, Nick has served 21 years at Sutter Health in compliance roles with increasing levels of responsibility, as well as operational roles in the ambulatory care and laboratory environments. Additionally, Nick served as the Deputy Compliance Officer at University of California, Davis, Medical Center.

Nick also serves as a Plans, Operations, and Medical Intelligence (POMI) Officer in the United States Navy Reserve, currently assigned to Commander, Naval Forces Korea. Previous assignments include North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) & U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), a 4-Star Combatant Command, and Expeditionary Medical Facility, Camp Pendleton.

He has an MBA from St. Mary’s College of California, and a BS from California State University, Stanislaus. He resides in Rocklin, California, with his wife and three children, and enjoys camping trips to Baja Mexico, off-roading and all disciplines of cycling.
