Xiaoran Zhang, MD, MS

Dr. Zhang is a California native who attended college at UCLA, where he graduated with Honors. He obtained his medical degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he received the Theordore Kurze MD Prize for Excellence in Neurological Surgery and Clinical Neuroscience. He completed Neurological Surgery residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident and was awarded the Resident Teaching Award. Dr. Zhang then completed an additional clinical fellowship in Neurosurgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where he was awarded the Fellow Teaching Award. Dr. Zhang has published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals and several book chapters. He has presented at numerous Neurosurgery conferences. He is also an editor of a soon to be released textbook entitled Neurosurgery Technical Fundamentals.
