Urs Naber, MD
Dr. Naber completed his pediatrics residency at Dartmouth, where he published his research on improving nurse effectiveness and team work, as well as working with the regional device innovation center. He then completed his pediatric critical care fellowship as well as the Biodesign Innovation fellowship at Stanford in 2019. Dr. Naber then became a faculty member at Valley Children's Hospital (VCH) while also co-founding and leading a medical device startup (Zeit Medical) focused on stroke detection through multiple fundraising rounds. After rolling out several national and international multi-center studies to evaluate the stroke detection device, he left his medical device startup in March 2024 to focus again on his clinical work. Since 2023, Dr. Naber had also taken on the medical directorship of the Bakersfield Memorial Hospital (BMH) PICU, besides continuing as PICU attending at Valley Children's. Dr. Naber left Valley Children's and assumed the position of medical director for CPMC's PICU in September 2024.
