Miquell Miller, MD, MSc
Dr. Miquell Miller is a board-certified colorectal surgeon currently practicing at the University of California Davis. She specializes in laparoscopic, robotic and open abdominal surgery for colorectal diseases. Her clinical area of expertise includes inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer, diverticulitis and benign anorectal disease. She is the director of the Rectal Cancer Tumor board and the assistant director of Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEAL) Office at UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. She received her medical degree from Stanford School of Medicine in California and also completed her general surgery residency training at Stanford University. During her training at Stanford, she obtained a master’s in health policy investigating health outcomes in cancer patients. Dr. Miller was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society while at Stanford University. She later completed subspeciality training in colorectal surgery at Harvard Medical School Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Her research focus involves improving coordination of care and patient outcomes with regards to health equity for patients with colorectal cancer.
