Neha Shah, MPH, RD, CNSC, CHES
Neha is a Registered Dietitian specializing in GI and IBD for close to 20 years. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health Nutrition from Loma Linda University and a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She is certified by the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Currently, she is affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco specializing in GI, IBD, and short bowel syndrome. Neha also runs her own IBD nutrition private practice, Neha Shah Nutrition LLC, aiming to provide specialized care to the community. Within her practice, she offers a subspecialty in South Asian GI and IBD. Beyond clinical care, Neha has authored nearly 30 manuscripts on GI and IBD nutrition topics. She actively participates in several professional committees, including her role as a member of the short bowel (prior inaugural leader) and IBD nutrition workgroups within the Dietitians in Gastrointestinal Disorders subunit of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She also serves on the National Scientific Advisory Committee of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, Healthcare Professional Engagement Committee of its Northern California chapter, and on the Educational Affairs Committee with the American College of Gastroenterology. Additionally, Neha is the co-Nutrition Editor for the Journal of Practical Gastroenterology. Neha is committed to continuing her involvement in patient care and GI initiatives to advance nutrition care to improve patient outcomes.
