Melinda Ginne, Dr. Melinda Ginne
Dr. Melinda Ginne is a geropsychologist with a forty-year career specializing in geriatrics and the treatment of the psychological aspects of acute, chronic, and life-threatening medical illness. In addition to working at Kaiser-Permanente for more than twenty years, she worked in numerous geriatric medical and mental health settings, such as Alameda Hospital, Herrick Hospital, and the Visiting Nurses. In private practice, she continues to provide geriatric mental health services and neuropsychological capacity evaluations. She is one of the founding instructors in the Professional Program in Aging and Mental Health at UC Berkeley Extension and was awarded honors for her contributions to aging. Dr. Ginne has taught a number of classes in aging as well as in the psychological aspects of medical illness. Her story, Signs and Symptoms, will be featured in the upcoming anthology, The Perfect Doctor, from Pager Publications, set to be released in early 2024.
