With a focus on strong, effective, and accretive internal and external partnerships, Eli Doman’s current role is Senior Director, Strategic Planning within the Strategic Partnerships team.  Eli fosters physician and other M&A target relationships, leads the deal process for all ASCs and other opportunities as assigned, coordinates business valuation processes, oversees buy and sell side due diligence, creates business plans, prepares for (and obtains) necessary board approvals, and invests in Sutter Health affiliates and support services coordination enabling relationships.  In addition to deal transaction related efforts, Eli also supports Sutter Surgery Center Division (“SSCD”) strategic and growth planning efforts as a subject matter expert.

Eli joined Sutter Health within SSCD in 2013 as the Director of Business Development & Operations.  In March 2023 he ended his tenure with SSCD when he transitioned to the Strategy & Business Development team.  During his time within SSCD Eli participated in or led 7 acquisitions (6 ASCs and 1 surgical hospital) and 4 sales (3 ASCs and 1 surgical hospital).  Leading a team of 11, Eli also led the board approval process and subsequent execution of over $50M in purchase options at 6 ASCs and oversaw revenue cycle, strategic sourcing, strategy, and financial analytics functions while serving as a member of the SSCD executive leadership team.

Eli is passionate about the health services industry and has over 18 years of results-oriented leadership experience.  Prior to joining Sutter, he was a Manager/ Consultant on the Health Industries Advisory Team of PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) where he advised health care organizations in business redesign, process improvement, and post-merger operational integration efforts.  Eli also worked as a Business Director of a critical access hospital where he led the entire revenue cycle process. 

Eli has an MBA from Brigham Young University and a BS in Health Care Administration from Idaho State University.
