Shawn Williams, RN, MSN, PHN is a healthcare professional with over two decades of experience in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) space. Shawn brings considerable experience in planning, physical development, ASC Partnership Management, and Accreditation of various ownership structures that include De Novos, independent centers, and hospital joint ventures.

Shawn has been acknowledged as a strategic visionary leader with resilience and believes great leaders should possess the “ability to learn while leading.” Shawn believes a collaborative approach to leading in healthcare allows her the ability to assess the strengths and weaknesses of those around her to highlight the collective strengths of the team and assist in moving the organization closer to its goals. Additionally, her knowledge and leadership has been instrumental in turning around underperforming facilities.

Shawn holds a Master of Science degree in nursing with a focus on Executive Leadership from Mount St. Mary’s University in Southern California and is also a Certified Public Health Nurse. Shawn has an extensive history that includes creating high-performing clinical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and has been known to have exceptional and synergistic physician relationships.

Shawn brings to Sutter Health a vast amount of creative and innovative experience in the ASC industry and will be an asset to navigate through the current ASC market challenges of expanding infrastructure, development, and culture against the ever-changing environment of insurance and regulatory concerns.

Shawn’s hobbies and interests are traveling, baking, outdoor activities, and community service.
