0379_SBMF_Anaphylaxis-How to use an Epi Pen_Live
Description:
Anaphylaxis is a life-threatening medical emergency in which the patient needs to be rapidly assessed and treated. The epinephrine auto injector pen is the first line of treatment for patients experiencing anaphylaxis. Therefore, the proper use of the epinephrine auto injector pen for anaphylaxis must be incorporated into patient emergency response to increase patient safety. This virtual presentation (audio/slide presentation) convenes expert faculty who discuss the use of the epinephrine auto injector pen currently recommended for the treatment of anaphylaxis along with tools to recognize anaphylaxis. Learners are encouraged to participate through interactive audience response questions.
