Rocio Huerta-Camara, MPH
Rocio Camara joined Sutter Gould Medical Foundation in 2010 as Manager of the Community Health Education Department. During her time with the foundation, she has held various roles, including patient relations, staff training, and patient safety champion. Her involvement in these efforts has centered on improving the patient experience. This focus has increased her interest in work that better supports patient communities.
Her scope has evolved to include volunteer services, and she has served as a patient experience champion, supporting Foundation-wide initiatives since 2016. Most recently, Rocio joined Sutter Gould's Diversity and Inclusion Council. Diversity, Health Equity, and Inclusion are passions for her. These principles are deeply rooted in her prior work with the Public Health Department, inspiring her to pursue a master's in public health.
She feels privileged to work for an organization that invests in its employees and the health of its community. You might see Rocio at an evening empathy training, a professional-facing health symposium, or promoting healthy eating and literacy at a local elementary school. Simply put, Rocio's greatest joy is connecting her passions with her community.
Outside work, Rocio enjoys spending time with her husband Dean and their two rambunctious 5-year-old twins, Andre and Olivia, who provide plenty of adventure
