Marla J. Arata, MFT is a Marriage and Family Therapist in practice for over 25 years including 10 years in private practice as a shareholder in a multidisciplinary psychiatric practice. She currently chairs the Physician Wellness Committee for SGMF/GMG, a unique program which she developed and has resulted some of the highest physician satisfaction scores across our system. Marla has a passion for supporting physicians to care for themselves by keeping joy and balance in their lives. She is a pioneer in understanding the importance to integrate wellness research which provides emotionally support for health care professionals.
